Premium worth buying?

Postby [RS] Nutkins » Tue Nov 12, 2013 12:09 am

Hi Guys. Missed you loads. I think its time to crank up the fanspeed on this aged Graphics card and take the plunge into the world of BF$. Cheapest price ive seen is £30.99 for premium edition cd key from play-sc.com.

Looking forward to collecting your dogtags. :D

Bloody he'll where have you been?

Are you looking to play BF4? If so you will need the base game and a premium key total price is around £80 :( I currently just have the base game and paid £32 for it from Overclockers.co.uk simplykeys had the best deal on game+premium if i remember correctly.

Hey Nutkinz :D

I'd say premium is worth it yes, purely to get the expansion packs for less.

You will need to buy the base game AND then a premium membership however, both are ~£40

I paid £54 for Base + Premium from simply CD keys. No idea if they are still doing that offer?

Thanks Narz. Its a good job I asked, I thought premium was the whole lot. Its £60 now on simply keys but that looks good value. Gonna get it on Thursday I think

Hi MD.

Ive installed BF4 but the game keeps crashing and not recognising my mouse MX518 buttons.

Im gonna go to overclockers on Thursday and see what graphics card they have got and have a tinker with the mouse settings. My current graphics card 5870 gets too hot with poor stock cooling.
I remember I had a shit load of problems with BF2 and BF3 binding the extra buttons on my MX518 to weapons switch and overriding the sensitivity control. Im not sure whether the Logitech G400s would solve the problems.
Nothing is ever easy with these games. Its gonna take a couple of days to get setup properly.

Your looking at a 7870 or 7890 from that money, gainward are producing the best stock cards but MSI and the TwinFrozr 3 cooled cards are coolest running.

You have got a point there Nick. The thing that tipped me in to buying BF4 was looking at trailers for it running on a PS4. I thought wow! if it looks that good on a console then it should be something else on PC. My experience so far has been laggy but hopefully when my new card comes it should improve things a tad. I ordered a MSI r280x gaming edition which is supposed to run silent which should make a change for me. :) Its on pre-order so might not come until next week.
