HELP!!

Seems Narz and Hughie arent the only ones with PC probs atm.

On boot up, my PC is hanging on the Memory Test for about 2-3 mins before it kicks over and continues the boot.

I've tried swapping the memory modules about and it still does the same thing.

Any ideas?

Sounds like your ram is dead/nearly dead.

Take all the sticks out and try them one at a time press F8 before windows starts to boot and use the memory test option on each stick one at a time.

pull our 2 stick of ram, run with just 2 sticks in. If it still happens. Swap for the other 2 sticks. If it still happens. Try just each on their own. If it still happens. Its not the ram. If it only happens with one of them then that stick has crapped out. Has happened to me with multiple sticks before.

I've done this, but no tried single sticks just doubles.

The one pair I bought 3 years ago, the other just a few months.

PC is working atm, hopefully wil stay that way

Well done Final.
I was going to say that I cleaned an old keyboard I once spilled coke in by putting it in the dishwasher.
It came out sparkly clean......

It just never worked again. :wtf:
